May 09, 2018

DMCI Homes, the country’s first Quadruple A developer, recently recognized projects and communities which helped sustain the culture of quality in the company in 2017.

Leading the awardees are The Birchwood, Fairway Terraces, and Flair Towers which dominated the Tumpak construction quality management and Angat property management competitions.

Tumpak Awardees

The Birchwood construction site in Acacia Estates, Taguig, which is being supervised by project-in-charge Lemuel Sacan and area manager Ronie Correa, won two of Tumpak’s major awards—the Quality Improvement Award and Quality Performance Awardee of the Year.

The Quality Improvement Award is given to the project which had the highest incremental decrease of non-compliance report (NCR) while the Quality Performance Awardee of the Year is given to the project with the highest NCR progress project percentage as well as highest average rating from the first to fourth quarter of 2017.

Fairway Terraces in Villamor Airbase, Pasay City, which is being handled by project-in-charge Kevin Bunag and area manager Ronel Gasgonia, on the other hand, won the Overall Compliance Consciousness Award of the competition introduced in 2016.

The Quality Compliance Consciousness Award is given to projects with the least number of issued and open NCRs and the shortest average number of days to close NCRs.

The year-long competition covered the site inspection conducted by the Quality Management Department from December 2016 to September 2017.

Angat Awardees

Meanwhile, Flair Towers led the winners in the Angat competition, bagging the Community of the Year for 2017 for being the only Property Management Office to reach the minimum combined score of 86% in terms of Project Quality and Performance and implemented special projects.

Scores and projects from January to December 2017 were consolidated to determine the overall winners for the property management competition.

Similarly, Maricielo Villas was cited for implementing the Most Innovative Project of installing photocells in street lamp posts.

Likewise, East RayaGardens (older projects), Tivoli Garden Residences (old projects), and Flair Towers (new projects) won the Best Implemented Special Project award in their respective categories for effecting projects such as playground improvement, additional ramps for persons with disabilities (PWDs), converting fluorescent lamps to LED tubes, drivers’ lounge, and dog potty area among other measures.

Also honored during the recognition program at the DMCI Homes Corporate Center multipurpose gym were the top awardees for the third quarter evaluation of Angat Quality Program namely Dansalan Gardens (older projects); Siena Park Residences; and AristaPlace (new projects).

DMCI Homes Property Management Corporation (DPMC) Senior Vice President Enrico C. Wong, who spoke on behalf of DMCI Homes President Alfredo R. Austria, thanked the awardees for nourishing the company’s quality management programs and in turn helping the organization cement its reputation as a builder of quality homes and communities.

“It’s important for us to sustain our quality programs because quality and customer satisfaction or delight do not happen by chance. It only happens with intentionality,” Wong stressed.
